Wensleydale Creamery Mature Cheddar with Black Sheep Riggwelter Ale Launches in Waitrose

Two iconic Yorkshire producers, The Wensleydale Creamery and Black Sheep Brewery, have partnered to produce a Mature Cheddar with Black Sheep Riggwelter Ale, launching in Waitrose stores this week. The Wensleydale Creamery has carefully combined the roasted malt flavour of Riggwelter, Black Sheep’s strong Yorkshire Ale, with a selected rich, creamy mature cheddar, to give cheese lovers a true taste of Yorkshire. The Wensleydale Creamery Targets Growing Convenience Sector Across Europe

The Wensleydale Creamery has struck a deal with French retailers, Carrefour and Auchan, to launch a range of its sliced blended cheeses, as the Creamery builds on its export success in Europe. The sliced range, which includes Cheddar with Caramelised Onions, Double Gloucester with Onion & Chives, Hot & Spicy Cheddar, and Cheddar with Cracked Black Pepper, are now available nearly in 200 Carrefour stores across France. Name The Wensleydale Creamery’s New Cheese

The Wensleydale Creamery, main sponsor of the Dales Festival of Food & Drink, is inviting visitors to the Dales Festival of Food & Drink to come along and name its new cheese, which it will be launching at the festival. Michelle’s Marathon

Our Deputy Visitor Centre Manager Michelle Barnes, is undertaking a marathon challenge in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity on Sunday 24th April, when she takes part in the 35th Virgin London Marathon. Michelle is one of three members of our staff who are in the retained fire service, based at Hawes Fire Station in Wensleydale.
