Except where a specific means of communication is required by a provision of these Terms and Conditions, if you have any complaints or comments about our service or any goods you purchase or wish to contact us for any reason connected with your order you may contact us by telephone, fax or e-mail using the contact details specified above. Communication by e-mail will be regarded for the purposes of these Terms and Conditions as being written communication.
To make a purchase from our website, add items that you wish to buy into the shopping basket. Click on the shopping basket icon or checkout button & follow instructions to add your contact, delivery & payment details to complete your order.
To make a purchase from our gift guide, you can follow steps above to make your purchase from our website or telephone us, using number specified in 'About Us' or our website. You can also complete the order form in the gift guide, providing item description and quantity, your contact and delivery details. You will also need to complete your credit/debit details or enclose a cheque made payable to Wensleydale Creamery, for the amount due, with your order. Your order should be posted to: Wensleydale Creamery, FREEPOST NEA 1382, Hawes, North Yorkshire DL8 3BR or the address specified in 'About Us'.
To make a telephone purchase, call our sales office at the number stated in 'About Us', or on our website or Gift Guide. You will be asked to provide credit/debit details to pay for the goods you order. To purchase from us you must be over 18.
We must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods that you order before your order can be accepted. If you have ordered by e-mail we will confirm that your order has been accepted once payment has been received by us, by sending an email to you at the email address you provide in your order form. If you have ordered by post or telephone dispatch of the goods will be constitute acceptance of your order. Our acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us.
The prices payable are as set out in our website, or our published gift guide which is current at the date that your order is accepted. The prices payable for telephone order goods are as quoted to you when you place your order or, if no prices are quoted, the prices set out in the edition of our gift guide, which is current at the date that your order is accepted. The prices we charge for goods may differ depending on whether they are ordered from our website, by post or by telephone.
You will be required to pay extra for delivery. Our delivery charges for website orders are as set out in our website, and our published gift guide, which is current at the date that your order is accepted and for telephone orders are as quoted to you when you place your order (or if no delivery charges are quoted, the charges as set out in the edition of our published gift guide which is current at the date that your order is accepted). Payment for website or telephone orders will be by credit or debit card. You will be asked for your credit card details when you place your order. Payment for mail orders may be by credit or debit card or cheque.
Payment must be in pounds sterling. If you are purchasing by credit or debit card from outside the United Kingdom, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency. You do not own the goods until we receive payment in full in pounds sterling.
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, most of our food products are VAT Free. However some items may be subject to VAT at the prevailing rate (which at the time that these terms and conditions are written is 20%) and this is added to the total price.
If you order perishable food products the Distance Selling Regulations do not apply and you cannot cancel your contract with us for the goods. If you order goods other than perishable food products, you may cancel your contract with us for the goods at any time up to the end of the seventh working day, after the day you receive the ordered goods. You do not need to give us any reason for cancelling your contract nor will you have to pay any penalty.
If we have not dispatched the goods within 30 days of the dispatch date stated in our confirmation of your order (or within 30 days of your order if we have not given confirmation of the order within that period) then you may cancel your contract with us for the goods.
To cancel your contract you must notify us in writing using the address, fax or e-mail details specified in 'About Us'. If you have received the goods before you cancel your contract then unless, as specified above, you do not have a right to cancel, and you must send the goods back to our contact address at your own cost and risk. If you cancel your contract but we have already processed the goods for delivery you must not unpack the goods when they are received by you, and you must send the goods back to us at our contact address at your own cost and risk as soon as possible.
Once you have notified us that you are cancelling your contract, any sum debited to us from your credit or debit card will be re-credited to your account or the amount of any cleared cheque payment will be reimbursed to you, in either case as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of cancellation PROVIDED THAT the goods in question are returned by you, and received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you. If you do not return the goods delivered to you, or do not pay the costs of delivery, we shall be entitled to deduct the direct costs of recovering the goods from the amount to be re-credited to you.
We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if: we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered; we do not deliver to your area; or one or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers.
If we do cancel your contract we will endeavour to notify you (by email where your email address has been provided) and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us from your credit or debit card, or reimburse to you the amount of any cleared cheque, in either case as soon as possible, but in any event within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
We will deliver your ordered goods to the address that you provide us with, when you place your order. We may deliver the goods in several consignments to the same address, but will not charge extra for this. We will normally dispatch your goods within 1-2 business days of receiving your order. This time period or any alternative dispatch date stated in our confirmation of your order is indicative only and we cannot guarantee an exact delivery date.
Our goods are guaranteed free from material damage or defect (save for damage or deterioration occurring in the course of delivery). Although the greatest care will be made in packaging the goods, we cannot accept responsibility for damage sustained to them during the course of delivery.
We shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, bad weather (including snow, ice or flooding), accident, strikes, lock-outs and other industrial disputes, or breakdown of I.T. systems or network access.
Whenever you place an online order we'll do our very best to deliver all the items you've ordered. Occasionally, when goods are out of stock or otherwise unavailable we'll offer substitutes. We choose substitutes very carefully and offer what we believe is the most appropriate alternative to the product you've ordered. Cheese will be of similar size, blend and flavour. If we offer substitutes we'll make this clear by detailing them on your delivery paperwork. You can refuse the substitute by returning the product to us - we will then offer a full refund. Please note this is also applicable to products within a hamper.
If any part of these terms and conditions is unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.
Except for our affiliates, directors, employees or representatives, a person who is not a party to this agreement has no right under the UK Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of this agreement but this does not affect any right or remedy of a third party that exists or is available apart from that Act.
The contract between us shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law and the English courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between us.
These terms and conditions set out the whole of our agreement relating to the supply of the goods to you by us. Nothing said by any sales person on our behalf should be understood as a variation of these terms and conditions or as an authorised representation about the nature or quality of any goods offered for sale by us. Save for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, we shall have no liability for any such representation being untrue or misleading.
1. By completing the Loyalty Card form you give permission for Wensleydale Creamery to add you to their newsletter database.
2. The details you provide will be used only by Wensleydale Creamery to keep you informed of news, new products and services, and for conducting market research by email and post. We may also use your data to tailor and personalise content and adverts and analyse our traffic. Please refer to our Privacy Policy at wensleydale.co.uk for details.
3. The Loyalty Card is the property of Wensleydale Creamery, Gayle Lane, Hawes, North Yorkshire DL8 3RN and is non-transferable.
4. The Loyalty Card must only be used by the person named on the card who must be 16 years or over. Proof of identity may be requested.
5. The Loyalty Card is not a cheque guarantee, debit or credit card and may only be used in The Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese Experience at the Wensleydale Creamery Visitor Experience and not online.
6. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend the loyalty scheme at any time, as well as reject any loyalty card that appears to be photocopied, counterfeit, defaced or damaged.
Competitions are in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. You are providing your information to Wensleydale Creamery and not to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. This includes competitions hosted on our Wensleydale Creamery Social Media pages.
The information you provide will only be used for administering competitions, contacting the winner and adding the entrant to our marketing lists. There will be an option to opt out of marketing lists at the bottom of emails sent to you. Please see our full Privacy Policy for further information.
The winner(s) will be chosen at random from all eligible entries that are submitted by the closing date stated on the competition page, form or post. In event of any dispute the judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered.
The prize for the competition will be stated on the competition page, form or post. No cash alternatives will be offered. No purchase is necessary to win. Purchase does not enhance chance of winning. This contest is void where prohibited. Actual/appraised value may differ at time of prize award. The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by Wensleydale Creamery. Wensleydale Creamery reserve the right to provide an alternative prize. No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted except at Wensleydale Creamery's discretion. The prize is non-transferable. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by the winner is permitted. Prize will be shipped within thirty business days of claim by prize winner.
The winner will be notified via email/comment. Wensleydale Creamery shall have no liability for the winner's failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for the winner's provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within thirty business days from the time award notification was sent, the prize may be forfeited, and an alternative winner selected.
Competition is open to entrants who are over 16 years of age. Entrants must be residents of mainland UK. We are unable to deliver to these postcode areas. This competition is not open to employees of Wensleydale Creamery and their affiliates, agencies, suppliers, sponsors and members of employees' immediate families.
Wensleydale Creamery reserves the right to hold void, suspend or cancel the promotion at any time where it is reasonable to do so. By entering a competition, entrants agree to these terms and conditions. Wensleydale Creamery reserves the right to verify all entries and winners and disqualify an entrant where they are found to be in breach of these terms and conditions. We will not share personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese Experience Online Booking
Please read the terms and conditions carefully before ordering your tickets. Upon purchasing tickets to visit The Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese Experience, you are agreeing to comply with these conditions.
1. Bookings are only valid for the stipulated and agreed date and time shown in the booking confirmation email.
2. A confirmation email will be sent once the payments have been authorised and received. This email will have your unique booking reference on and will act as your receipt and entry ticket. Please bring this with you (either printed out or on your phone) and present it at the desk on your arrival.
3. Your email address is used for your booking confirmation.
4. Tickets are non-transferable
5. No refunds or rebates are provided for cancellations.
6. In the event of unforeseen circumstances where we need to cancel or change timings, we will contact you.

10. The Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese Experience and our Visitor Centre is wheelchair friendly, however we are unable to offer wheelchairs on site.
11. If you are visually or hearing impaired, please let our team know when you arrive, and they will do their best to accommodate your needs during the demonstrations.
12. No dogs are permitted inside the attraction, with the exception of assistance dogs.
