Do you have to pre-book Cheesy Afternoon Tea?

You do not need to pre-book the Cheesy Afternoon Tea in advance. Walk-ins are welcome, however tables are subject to availability.

Can you buy gift vouchers?

We don't sell gift vouchers specifically for cheesy afternoon tea (yet), but you can call 01969 667664 to purchase a gift voucher to be spent at our Visitor Centre, which includes being able to use in Calvert's Restaurant for our Cheesy Afternoon Tea.

Is the afternoon tea available for more/less than 2 people?

Yes cheesy afternoon tea can now be ordered for one, and it can be scaled up for three or more as required.

Are dogs allowed when having Cheesy Afternoon Tea?

Dogs are not allowed in Calvert's restaurant where Cheesy Afternoon Tea is served.

Is there a gluten free version?

Not yet, but we're working on it! In the meantime our Calvert's and 1897 Coffee Shop menus have gluten free options available.

Can you upgrade to an alcoholic drink?

Yes! Some of our most popular options include Prosecco, Wensleydale Yorkshire Gin & Yorkshire Tonic Water, and Pimm's with Sparkling Elderflower.

Is Cheesy Afternoon Tea served in the Coffee Shop or outside?

No, afternoon tea is served exclusively in Calvert's Restaurant, but there are plenty of delicious light bites and cakes available in 1897 Coffee Shop.
