CHELSEA PENSIONERS RING IN THE FESTIVE SEASON WITH TASTY CHEESE

The Chelsea Pensioners enjoyed a taste of Yorkshire as The Wensleydale Creamery took centre stage at the annual Ceremony of the Christmas Cheeses at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London today. The Wensleydale Creamery kindly donated its handcrafted Yorkshire Wensleydale, Wensleydale Blue, and Yorkshire Wensleydale & Cranberries cheese for the Chelsea Pensioners to enjoy over the festive season, a tradition that dates back over 300 years and celebrates the role of cheese in feeding the armed forces. Creamery Supports Hawes Christmas Lights

The Wensleydale Creamery announced today its pledge of funds from carrier bag charges at its Visitor Centre in Hawes, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, to the local Christmas light fund. The market town of Hawes is a hot spot for tourism, full of thriving independent businesses, shops, pubs and tourist attractions. Michelle’s Marathon

Our Deputy Visitor Centre Manager Michelle Barnes, is undertaking a marathon challenge in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity on Sunday 24th April, when she takes part in the 35th Virgin London Marathon. Michelle is one of three members of our staff who are in the retained fire service, based at Hawes Fire Station in Wensleydale.
