Win a Forme Road Bike with Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese

The Wensleydale Creamery is on its marks and set for the world’s greatest cycle race to come to the UK and is pulling out all the stops to prepare a Yorkshire welcome, for visitors and cyclists to mark the momentous occasion.

This July, we will see the world’s best cyclists pass through the market town of Hawes in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales on 5th July, the famous home of Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese. To celebrate the race in style, The Wensleydale Creamery has teamed up with British based Forme Bikes, launching an on-pack competition with its Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese, offering customers the chance to win one of five bikes from Forme’s Longcliffe series worth over £1,000 each.

David Hartley, managing director of The Wensleydale Creamery, said: “I’m delighted that the world’s eyes will be on the Yorkshire Dales in July 2014. It is a brilliant opportunity for all of Yorkshire to wow thousands of visitors and spectators, showcasing all that the Dales has to offer from the stunning scenery to fantastic flavours of our award-winning Yorkshire produce. We are proud to have created a national competition to celebrate our county and showcase our delicious Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese that is creamy, crumbly and full of flavour.

“We are now counting down to the event, and have  already seen a vast increase in cyclists exploring the race’s route and hope to encourage even more visitors and spectators to Wensleydale by helping cyclists re-fuel with our signature Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese Rarebit or a top-up of their water bottle at our on-site Wensleydale Creamery Visitor Centre. At The Wensleydale Creamery, we are delighted to have partnered with Forme Bikes, for our exciting competition, which is the perfect way for us to celebrate the upcoming excitement.”
