The Wensleydale Creamery, have launched a new campaign “Sandwich Heaven”, a nationwide search for the perfect sandwich using its famous Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese.

Sandwich Heaven will launch at the Great Yorkshire Show, England’s Premier Agricultural Event, on July 8-10.  With “Sandwich o’clock” at 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm each day at the show, the Creamery will be conducting free sampling, featuring a selection of six Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese Sandwich creations.

David Hartley, Managing Director of The Wensleydale Creamery, said: “The UK currently consumes 11 billion* sandwiches per year and research from the British Sandwich Association found that people in Yorkshire are most likely to spend their hard earned cash on ingredients for a good sarnie than the rest of the UK.   

“We wanted people to be able to create their perfect Yorkshire Wensleydale sandwich, whether it be Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese with vine tomatoes and rocket or Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese with Apple and Avocado. We want to find what Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese Sandwich creation sets the county’s taste buds alight.”

With the launch of the campaign comes a new packaging design, showcasing suggested recipes and delicious sandwich combinations. Consumers can head to The Wensleydale Creamery’s stand at the Great Yorkshire Show, or pick up a pack in-store and send in your Sandwich Heaven picture creations from 14th July to @Wdalecreamery using #CreateSandwichHeaven
