Wallace & Gromit are revving up their iconic A35 van following the opening of their brand new ride, Thrill-O-Matic, at Blackpool Pleasure Beach by heading out on tour. This week, they took a picnic pit-stop at none other than the home of Wallace’s favourite cheese – The Wensleydale Creamery.
Since the final rivets were put in place for Thrill-O-Matic, which had its Grand Opening on April 24, the dynamic duo have been taking their iconic A35 to destinations which have become famous on their adventures. The Wensleydale Creamery without a doubt being a must see destination for their tour.
The £5.25million investment features all the best-loved characters from the duo’s adventures. Creators Aardman have worked with Pleasure Beach design and engineering team on the ride which will take a trip through A Grand Day Out, visit The Wrong Trousers, take A Close Shave and deal with A Matter of Loaf and Death.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach Managing Director Amanda Thompson OBE said: “We are delighted to have Wallace & Gromit at Pleasure Beach.
“Thrill-O-Matic represents a significant investment in the park and we know the characters will be a huge hit with the families who come and visit Pleasure Beach.
