The Wensleydale Creamery, makers of the famous Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese, have launched two special edition waxed cheese truckles in celebration of the arrival of the Grand Depart 2014 in the Yorkshire Dales.
A striking yellow cycle themed design has been created for its Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese truckle (150g) which is available exclusively from independent retailers and can also be purchased at the Wensleydale Creamery’s Visitor Centre.
The Creamery’s popular Yorkshire Wensleydale & Cranberries cheese has been made into an eye-catching red waxed cheese truckle (150g) featuring the red spotted theme of the ‘King of the Mountains’ jersey, with the Buttertubs climb being right on the Wensleydale Creamery’s doorstep.
Available through independent retailers and the Creamery’s Visitor Centre at Hawes in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, the Yorkshire Wensleydale and Cranberries truckle (150g) is also available in regional Sainsbury’s stores from 24th June.
The excitement of the famous French cycle race will see the rider’s come through Hawes, the home of the Wensleydale Creamery on the first stage of the race on 5th July. It’s much loved Visitor Centre will be opening for longer over the weekend of the race to provide delicious food & drink for the many visitors expected to flock to the area to see the spectacle.
