The Wensleydale Creamery, makers of the famous Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese, will be showcasing its popular Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese range to international export markets at the prestigious Gulfood 2015 in Dubai.
Taking place 8-12 February 2015, Gulfood has gained the title of the world’s biggest annual food and hospitality show, attracting thousands of industry peers and representatives looking to source and select from an unrivalled global product showcase.
The Wensleydale Creamery, based at Hawes in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, are market leaders in the blending of cheese and were the first to create Yorkshire Wensleydale & Cranberries back in 1995. They will be showcasing this cheese, which is one of their best sellers, at Gulfood 2015, along with their deliciously fruity Yorkshire Wensleydale with Mango & Ginger, and their range of handcrafted traditional cheeses.
David Hartley, Managing Director at the Wensleydale Creamery, said: “With a historic pedigree dating back to 1150, Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese has now achieved European protected food name status with PGI certification, differentiating Yorkshire Wensleydale from other Wensleydale cheese made elsewhere.
“Whilst staying true to our heritage and maintaining the deepest cheese-making traditions, we are continually pioneering new cheese development and establishing new markets around the world, recently celebrating international growth with an export deal worth over £100,000 to Singapore and Kuwait.
“As we focus upon our growing exports in 2015, returning to Gulfood will give us the perfect opportunity to explore potential new markets and build relationships and partnerships in the Middle East and beyond.”
