Slicing into the Pre-Cut Cheese Market
The Creamery has seen its newly developed sliced, blended pre-packed cheeses hit shelves in Morrisons, capitalising on the emerging new market within the cheese sector.
Over the past year, popularity of natural cheddar slices has increased above that of processed sliced cheese, as consumers look for quick and easy to use cheese without compromising on flavour or quality. Following customer demand for natural sliced cheese, the Wensleydale Creamery has produced four sliced blended cheese variants which are now being sold in Morrisons stores nationwide.
The sliced cheese range includes Naturally Smoked Cheddar, Double Gloucester with Onion & Chives, Hot & Spicy Cheddar and Cheddar with Cracked Black Pepper. The 160g packs retail at £1.89 and represent key savoury flavours in the blended cheese market. A versatile range, each pack displays a ‘try me’ serving suggestion aimed at providing customers with tasty meal ideas using the cheese.

Cheddar with Cracked Black Pepper – The subtle peppery spice of cracked black pepper balanced with smooth, creamy Cheddar cheese
