Friends of the Creamery: Corks & Cases

Cheese and wine are a match made in culinary heaven!
Independent wine merchants Corks and Cases is run by husband-and-wife team Derek and Carol Harle and based in the market town of Masham on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.
What they don’t know about wine isn’t worth knowing, and their small, boutique wine shop, which stocks an exceptional range from around the world, makes them the perfect partner for our handcrafted range.
Looking for something a bit different or just some pointers on where to start? Enjoy a bright fruity Cinsault to make to flavours of our Wensleydale Blue sing or a medium bodied Gewürztraminer to pair perfectly with our sweet and warming Yorkshire Wensleydale & Ginger.
Their talented team also distill our very own Wensleydale Creamery Dry Yorkshire Gin too. Designed specifically for us here at the Creamery, it uses the whey from our traditional cheesemaking process to create a spirit that perfectly balances our creamy, crumbly Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese.
Come and try it for yourself! Derek from Corks and Cases will be joining us here at the Creamery between 11 – 3pm in our Gift Shop and in our New Taste of Yorkshire cheese pairing room on Wednesday 14th December sampling Borsao Garnacha 70cl with Naturally Oak Smoked Yorkshire Wensleydale, Krohn Port with Wensleydale Blue, Cave De Turckheim, Gewurztraminer with Abbots Gold.
There’s also be a special offer available on the day. Buy all three bottles of wine with 200g of each cheese for just £35 in our Visitors Centre.
