Family Fun at the Creamery this Summer

The school summer holidays are almost here, so it’s time to start planning some days out with a difference!

Here at Wensleydale Creamery, home of the UK’s flagship Cheese Experience, we’ve got lots to see, do and of course to eat, to keep the whole family entertained this summer!

Join us in our Demonstration Room and watch one of our team create Yorkshire Wensleydale before taking a peek inside the creamery to see our talent team at work from the viewing gallery.

Here you’ll also find lot of interactive things to do and learn for the children, and don’t forget to have your picture taken with Wallace & Gromit – Yorkshire Wensleydale’s most famous fans!

You’ll love our Taste of Yorkshire Pairing Room where you’ll be able to sample our delicious range of hand-crafted cheeses and learn about the perfect pairings for each.  From fruitcake to chutney, wine to whisky, there’s something to tickle everyone’s taste buds.

Put your cheese knowledge to the test and take NEW Cheese Trail as part of your visit to discover what makes Yorkshire Wensleydale so special and learn out about the fascinating the 1000-year history of cheese making here in the Dales.  Perfect for the whole family.

Joining us for lunch or a light bite?  You’ll find a delicious cheese themed menu including our new Yorkshire Cheese Bar in Calvert’s.  Our take on tapas style dining, you’ll be able to pick and choose which cheeses to try along with some delicious accompaniments.  Perfect for haring with friends and family.  Calvert’s cheese themed menu also features a number of delicious dishes and cakes including our ever popular cheese on toast, three-cheese macaroni and Wensleydale sourdough pizzas.

Bringing the family? Our children’s menu is available for just £5 per child throughout the whole of August!

Looking for a light bite?  Head to the 1897 Coffee Shop for a huge range of coffees and cakes as well as soups and salads or enjoy a delicious Brymor ice cream in our dog friendly garden with stunning views across the Yorkshire Dales.

Don’t forget to pay a visit to our much-loved cheese and gift shop before you leave.  With complementary cheese sampling and a huge range of local produce and lovely gifts to mark your visit, you’re sure to find something you’ll love.

Ice Cream Month

July is Ice Cream month and we’ve got a host of delicious dishes using local Brymor ice cream in Calvert’s and our 1897 Coffee Shop for you to enjoy, as well as our soft scoop available in the gift shop.
