Unfortunately not! Wensleydale cheese can be and is made in counties around the UK. Only Yorkshire Wensleydale, which is protected with European protected food name status, is handcrafted in Wensleydale. To be sure that you are buying the “real thing”, look out for Yorkshire Wensleydale – this also applies to the cheese that we blend with ingredients, for example Yorkshire Wensleydale & Cranberries.
