Yorkshire Waldorf Salad
Serves 6-8 Prepare in 5 mins

Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil’s take on the classic Waldorf Salad – fresh and fruity with mellow and full flavours from the Wensleydale Blue Cheese. Serve as a light lunch or refreshing side salad.


  • 150g Wensleydale Blue Cheese, crumbled
  • 3 tbsps Yorkshire Mayonnaise
  • 3 sticks of celery, sliced
  • 100g red seedless grapes, halved
  • 1 Braeburn apple, cored and diced
  • 3 spring onions, finely sliced
  • 50g walnut pieces, crumbled (optional)
  • Baby gem lettuce, shredded


  1. Bring together your salad ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Crumble in the Wensleydale Blue Cheese and the Yorkshire Mayonnaise and gently fold together to cover the salad ingredients.
  3. Depending on your taste you may want to use a little more or less mayonnaise. Serve immediately.
