The Wensleydale Creamery is riding the new wave of convenience store growth with the introduction of its blended cheese taster packs.
The famous cheesemakers, based at Hawes in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, have expanded their range of cheeses with three varieties of snack-sized taster packs, including the nation’s favourite Yorkshire Wensleydale & Cranberries, along with two other popular flavours; Yorkshire Wensleydale with Apricots & Peach and Cheddar with Caramelised Onions.
David Hartley, Managing Director at the Wensleydale Creamery, said: “With the number of convenience stores on Britain’s high streets up 186% in just ten years, shoppers are increasingly looking to buy quick and easy options for snacking and cooking.
“Our new taster pack range in three of our most popular flavours will cater for this growing demand whilst providing accessible options for smaller households.”
The new packaging features the PGI logo for Yorkshire Wensleydale variants, ensuring clear differentiation in the market place from other Wensleydale cheese that is made in other counties around the UK.
