It’s here again, our favourite day of the year (and that includes Christmas!). It’s Yorkshire Day! Our beautiful County is celebrated all over the world on August 1st, which makes us even more proud to be from God’s Own Country! This year to celebrate, we’re joining in the Yorkshire Day celebrations in Ripon. Wednesday starts off with a parade which sets off from Ripon Spa Hotel at 10am, with nearly 200 mayors and dignitaries taking part. Yorkshire Dales getting cheesy for a second time at a • Cracking Cheese Festival returns 15-23 September!

The Yorkshire Dales Cheese Festival returns this September with double the number of events and activities following the success of last year’s inaugural event. One of the new events will put a cheesy slant on the War of the Roses by holding a week-long tasting competition pitting fromage from Yorkshire against Lancashire-produced cheeses.
